Introduction to the AI Literacy Framework

Completed

A common challenge in AI conversations is that people talk past each other. One person is focused on student learning. Another is focused on privacy. Another is focused on policy. Another is focused on what AI might mean down the road. This video introduces a simple way to hold all of these concerns together by using four shared domains.

Reflection

Think of a recent AI conversation in your setting. What were people arguing about: a learning decision, an integrity decision, a policy decision, or a long-term impact decision?

Why this matters: Having shared language helps teams move past opinions about tools and focus on the actual decisions and responsibilities involved. It also helps educators spot where safeguards are needed earlier, especially when AI use touches learning, privacy, or equity.
