Keep private information private
Someone can use your private information to open your accounts, find you, take your money, or pretend to be you. Don't type, upload, or paste:
- Passwords, passcodes, or security answers
- Your full home address or exact location
- Private health, school, benefit, or workplace information
- Bank, credit card, payment, or benefits information
- A Social Security number or other government identification number
- Photos of identification cards, checks, bills, medical forms, or account statements
- Private photos, messages, or information about someone else
Important
Don't share a one-time security code with anyone. A real company or government agency never needs the code they send to your phone or email.
