Comments

In Business Central, you have the flexibility to register various comments on a service order to provide detailed information and insights. You can add comments on two levels: the service order level and the service item line level.

At the service order level, you can add general comments that apply to the entire service order. This lets you capture important information or instructions that are relevant to the service process. You can access these comments and edit them directly on the service order page.

On the Lines FastTab of the service order, you have the option to add specific comments for each service item line. As a result, you can provide detailed information that's related to a particular service item. Within the lines, you can register separate comments for faults, resolutions, internal notes, and accessories. These comments provide more context and help you document the specifics of each service item.

Additionally, you can include comments on the service lines so that you can record relevant information or observations that are related to the labor time, costs, or spare parts that are associated with a specific service item. These comments are essential for maintaining a comprehensive record of the service-related activities.

By adding comments at the service order and service item line levels, you can ensure clear communication, facilitate collaboration, and maintain a detailed log of relevant information throughout the service order process.

To find, make, and view comments on the service order, you can access the general service comment sheet, where you can add comments that are specific to the service order. To do so, follow these steps:
