Role
Build reliable automation and agent integrations for Microsoft Power Platform solutions. You bring together reusable Power Automate logic that handles failures, governed Dataverse Model Context Protocol (MCP) consumption, and supported connections between custom agents, enterprise data, Copilot Studio agents, and applications.
Prerequisites
- Ability to create and test an automated Power Automate cloud flow.
- Ability to run a Node.js or Python command-line client.
- Ability to modify and run a supplied Python or C# agent project.
- Ability to call an authenticated API and inspect JSON tool definitions and structured responses.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft Power Platform, Work IQ, and Microsoft Copilot Studio concepts.
- Access to an approved, preconfigured Dataverse MCP server.

Modules in this learning path
Power Automate cloud flows that work in testing often break down once they meet real production data, unreliable dependencies, and changing ownership. This module covers how to build flow logic that validates data, handles errors and transient failures, reduces unnecessary trigger runs, reuses logic through child flows, and stays operational by using Microsoft Entra ID service principal ownership instead of individual accounts.
Connect a supported MCP client to an existing, governed Dataverse MCP server, inspect its allow-listed tools, invoke a bounded Dataverse operation, and explain the governance boundary that separates consuming a server from building or registering one.
Integrate a custom, code-first agent with live Power Platform data and the Copilot Studio agents your organization already runs, so the agent reaches governed Dataverse records, coordinates with other agents, and becomes something applications can consume directly.
