In this lab, you'll create an app for Microsoft Teams that allows employees to request Contoso Coffee swag (branded apparel and accessories). Power Apps is a low-code/no-code tool that you can use to build your own custom business applications by using drag and drop functionality. In this module, you'll discover how to use Microsoft Dataverse for Teams to build your own data model and store data. From the data model that you create, you'll build an app by using Power Apps, which gives users a front-end interface to perform a task and interact with data. You'll start by creating a Dataverse instance with tables that relate to the swag ordering scenario. The tables will store details of the available assets for order, and then you'll build an app that employees can use to submit their requests.

Power Virtual Agents empowers subject matter experts to build intelligent conversational bots by using a guided, no-code graphical interface. By using Power Automate, you can call flows from your chatbot topics, connecting your bot to other data sources so that it can act on behalf of the user.
Power Virtual Agents is available as an app in Microsoft Teams, enabling you to create an internal chatbot. This solution is ideal if you want to create a chatbot to answer common internal questions that are posed by employees, particularly for areas such as IT and human resources, which handle multiple frequently asked questions.
Note
If you want to create a chatbot for customers to deploy on your website or other channels, you can use the full version of Power Virtual Agents.

In this lab, you'll use Power BI to connect to your Microsoft Dataverse tables to build a report about the swag requests. With Power BI, you can get insights from your data by building interactive reports and dashboards. The Power BI app in Microsoft Teams allows team members to view and collaborate on reports and dashboards from within the Teams interface. The Power BI app includes the same features as Power BI Service, which contains a basic range of tools for building and editing reports. For the full range of editing features, you can build the report by using Power BI Desktop before publishing to Teams.
