This learning path prepares nurse leaders to enable safe, consistent, and sustained Dragon Copilot adoption by shaping expectations, reinforcing key behaviors, and guiding nursing staff through change. Rather than focusing on workflow training, it emphasizes the nurse leader’s role as a sponsor of adoption. Nurse leaders set clear expectations, create psychological safety, and align trainers and champions to a shared plan. Throughout the course, you learn how to communicate value in nurse-relevant language, respond to common concerns, and reinforce behaviors such as:
- consistent use
- care out loud
- review before filing
Prerequisites
- Access to Dragon Copilot (nurses) in Epic Rover and the Dragon Copilot app.
- Proficiency in Dragon Copilot foundational knowledge

Modules in this learning path
Dragon Copilot introduces new documentation behaviors for nursing staff, ambient recording, caring out loud, and reviewing AI-captured output before filing. Adoption success depends on leadership reinforcement in the moments that matter. In this module, you learn how to support trainers and champions, how to sponsor adoption without becoming the trainer, and how to assess readiness for go-live. You practice leader-appropriate responses to common early concerns (time pressure, discomfort speaking care, uncertainty about AI output, trust in AI). You learn how to set and reinforce expectations, and confirm the foundational workflow knowledge needed to guide nursing staff to the right support pathways.
Dragon Copilot introduces new documentation behaviors for nursing staff, including ambient recording, care out loud, and review of AI‑captured output before filing. While trainers focus on teaching workflows, nurse leaders play a critical role in shaping perception, reinforcing expectations, and guiding teams through change. In this module, nurse leaders learn how to position Dragon Copilot value in ways that resonate with nursing staff, understand how AI supports (not replaces) clinical judgment, apply practical change-management strategies, and respond confidently to questions and resistance during rollout. The emphasis is on leadership behaviors that build confidence, consistency, and sustained adoption.
Care out loud is the key behavioral skill nursing staff learns when using Dragon Copilot. This module helps you coach nursing staff to speak their care naturally while using Dragon Copilot. Learn when and where care out loud fits into the workflow, how to support safe and comfortable practice, and how to guide the nursing staff through an early learning curve. The focus is on building a simple habit and using clear, patient‑appropriate language. By the end, you’ll be ready to lead role-play and support first-use moments.
Dragon Copilot adoption doesn't end at go-live. Leadership before, during, and after rollout helps nursing staff keep using it consistently. In this module, nurse leaders learn how to identify adoption barriers and tell the difference between leadership issues and training gaps. They reinforce clear expectations in daily work and use the right support pathways without taking on troubleshooting. As adoption grows, they adjust their approach. The focus is on consistent reinforcement, visible leadership, and building and maintaining team confidence.
