Power Pages provide a great way to allow internal and external audiences to view and interact with data from Microsoft Dataverse or Dynamics 365, and should be a consideration as a pillar in an organization's overall web strategy. This learning path introduces you to Power Pages that can be quickly provisioned to serve a variety of different audiences and workloads. We also cover fundamentals of Power Pages architecture, components, features, and tooling.

Use Power Pages to create modern data-driven external-facing business websites. Extend Dataverse data to external and internal audiences such as customers, partners, and employees. Empower anyone inside or outside your organization to interact with the business by using Power Pages sites.

Power Pages templates are pre-configured solutions that are available to help accelerate deployment. Site templates provide an environment that is immediately suitable for specific scenarios and audiences.

Power Pages provides a common set of core features to app makers to build powerful portal applications. Numerous Power Apps features map directly to Microsoft Dynamics 365 apps that are specific to particular business requirements and external audiences. Other Dynamics 365 applications, such as Marketing and Supply Chain Management, also use components of portals or alternate technologies.

This module focuses on the Power Pages architecture, such as how the various components work together to build a site. Additionally, it explains how the components are installed and come to together in a working site. The module also describes the maker and configuration tools that you can use to build and customize Power Pages sites.

Power Pages makers spend most their time building sites in Power Pages design studio. It's important that makers have a full understanding of the capabilities and also the limitations of the design studio. This module will focus on understanding and using the design studio to create and customize sites. Power Pages design studio allows makers to add and configure pages, layout components, static content, custom CSS files, lists, and forms connected to Dataverse. It also includes data workspace to create and manage business data and set up workspace to configure site security and behavior.
