Scheduler program requirements
Aside from currently being in invite-only Beta status, partners must abide by and remain compliant with the requirements listed below. Failure to comply with these requirements may lead to the Partner's removal from the program.
Eligibility
- Partner must be a Learning Option partner in good standing within both the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program (CPP) and Learning Partner Program. More information on the Learning Partner Program, including the Learning Option is available on the Learning Program site.
- Partner must have a live or virtual, instructor-led training schedule on their website that is automated and publicly accessible. Microsoft will use a data feed from the Partner to populate training opportunities on Microsoft Learn. No manual process of updating training opportunities is permitted.
- Training content must be offered and delivered in English, German, Spanish, French, or Italian (more languages to be made available in future program updates).
- Partner must have the legal authority to serve the markets for which they're hosting a schedule on the Microsoft Learn platform
Support
- Partner must provide at least one support channel via their e-commerce site (examples: email alias, live chat) which is accessible from the course booking and checkout pages.
- Partner must implement an adequate monitoring system and be able to troubleshoot technical issues quickly to identify and solve performance issues.
- Partner must provide administrative and support contacts to Microsoft for escalating issues, should they arise.
E-commerce site and training
- Partner must have the ability to transact via an e-commerce site where Users can reserve and pay for training directly. Site must meet the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). More details on standards including self-assessments and documents library can be found on the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council website.
- Partner must deliver the product they're promoting via the Program on the date, time, and location advertised, provide User with a mutually agreed upon alternative, or provide a full refund within 60 days.
- Pricing information provided by Partner and hosted on Microsoft Learn will include everything needed for a complete training. Partner may offer extra features or enhancements at an additional cost to the User during the checkout process as long as they're optional and not required to complete the basic training experience.
Data sharing & reporting
- Partner must consent to Microsoft accessing Partner’s live schedule data for the sole act of publishing on Microsoft Learn as part of the Instructor-led Scheduler Program. Partner won't hold Microsoft liable for public information shared by Microsoft as part of the data request.
- Partner affirms that the information they provide to Microsoft is accurate. Partner may not create course listings or other product details that intentionally mislead Users including manipulation of location, timing, pricing, or other data. Microsoft may remove listings that don't meet program requirements. Excessive canceled training engagements determined by Microsoft to be intentionally misleading may also lead to removal from the program.
- In addition to the Scheduler API, program partners must leverage an Enrollment API. This second API is designed to help track User IDs as they move between platforms, sign up and complete offerings.
- Partner must communicate that data collected during the cart/checkout process, as well as upon completion of the course, will be shared with Microsoft as permitted by local laws.
Important
Microsoft takes Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and all user data regulation laws seriously, and requires partners to abide by all privacy requirements that apply to both the partner and users information. Partner participants in this scheduler program must provide all required data protection up to and including complete deletion of user profile and activity data should the user request such action. Failure to abide to applicable regulations will be cause for removal from the program and possibly your organization’s status as a Microsoft Partner.
Additional performance and compliance requirements
- Partner must support routine/scheduled service updates to the Program in a timely manner, as they become available
- Partner must accept the privacy compliance agreement
- Partner must complete a web and data security assessment conducted and evaluated by Microsoft prior to hosting any training course data on Microsoft Learn
Microsoft's role
The intent of the Instructor-led Training Scheduler program is to provide qualified Learning Partners the ability to showcase their public schedule to users of the Microsoft Learn platform who are seeking live, instructor-led training.
- Microsoft won't be a party to the financial transaction between Partner and Microsoft Learn User. Using data provided by the Partner, Microsoft will link directly to the digital e-commerce platform for the specified product. Microsoft won't link to any other partner pages including partner’s homepage. Microsoft isn't responsible for payment, taxes, fulfillment, or other aspects of the contract between Partner and User.
- Microsoft will provide Users the ability to sort offered products by various categories, criteria, or other metrics that would allow Users to find training that is a best match for their needs. This may impact how the Partners class schedule displays on Microsoft Learn.
- Microsoft will share the Users VisitorID with the Partner for purposes of maintaining a User’s training status. Users can choose to provide additional information in conjunction with their training registration process.
- Microsoft reserves the right to make exceptions for any of the program requirements, at its sole discretion, as necessitated by strategic business needs.
- Microsoft makes no guarantees to Program availability or uptime and won't be held liable for missing or incomplete Partner schedule information.
Program changes
- Microsoft may change, amend, or terminate these Terms at any time. Partners continued use of the Instructor-led Scheduler program after any change or amendment means Partner agrees to the new terms. If Partner doesn't agree to the new terms, Partner must stop participating in the Program.
Restrictions on use
- All use of the Microsoft Learn Site and Learn Information is governed by and subject to Microsoft’s learn.microsoft.com Terms of Use (“Docs TOU”).
- Microsoft may terminate the ability to host a Partner's live, instructor-led schedule for any reason, including, but not limited to, a determination that a Partner's actions violate the terms of this agreement.
- Additionally, a Partner may be removed from the program for a website or other platform that incorporates images or content that are in any way unlawful, offensive, profane, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, harassing or otherwise objectionable; promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; incorporates any materials that infringe or assist others to infringe on any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights; contains or promotes politically sensitive or controversial issues; or in any other way conflicts with the “Use of Services Section” of the Docs TOU (collectively “Restricted Content”).
