The .NET Framework 4.6.1 Developer Pack is a package that lets developers build applications that target the .NET Framework 4.6.1 by using Visual Studio 2015, Visual Studio 2013, Visual Studio 2012, or third-party integrated development environments (IDEs). It's a single package that bundles the .NET Framework 4.6.1, the .NET 4.6.1 Targeting Pack, and the .NET 4.6.1 software development kit (SDK). The associated language packs for Developer Pack contain the language-specific resources for the .NET Framework 4.6.1, the .NET 4.6.1 SDK, and the language intelliSense.
This package installs the following components:
- .NET Framework 4.6.1 Developer Pack (NDP461-DevPack-KB3105179-ENU.exe): Contains the .NET Framework 4.6.1, .NET 4.6.1 Targeting Pack, .NET 4.6.1 SDK, and the ENU IntelliSense.
- .NET Framework 4.6.1 Developer Pack language pack (NDP461-DevPack-KB3105179-(Lang).exe): Contains the corresponding .NET Framework 4.6.1 language pack, .NET 4.6.1 SDK Language Pack, and the language IntelliSense.
Note
This package shouldn't be used if you intend to redistribute the .NET Framework. In that case, you should download the web installer.
