Error message for installing an additional language pack

Symptoms

When you try to install Microsoft Visual Studio in a new language, you receive the following error message:

This product is already installed. To install an additional language, please install the language pack for that language.

Resolution

To resolve this error, follow these steps:

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Open the Programs > Programs and Features item.
3. Look for Microsoft Visual Studio in the list of programs.
4. Make sure that the version that you're trying to install isn't already installed or partially installed.
