Use any number of these Copilot items when deploying Microsoft 365 Copilot to understand its impact and adoption. Consider deploying the same items multiple times to see trends, changes, and sentiment over time.

You have the flexibility to use any number of these Copilot items when, where, and how it makes most sense at important moments in your Copilot journey, whether it’s a standalone Copilot survey, integrated into your Engagement survey, or deployed in Viva Pulse surveys for more targeted insights.

If you have Viva Insights, the sentiment results of the four Copilot core items show on the Copilot dashboard. Results from this survey are visible in the standard reporting already available in Glint.

What the Copilot Impact items uncover

When leaders seek feedback, organizations can proactively gather the feedback that most helps the organization monitor progress and scale AI transformation. This helps you address challenges that might otherwise go unnoticed. The Copilot Impact survey can help organizations better understand:

• User insights: Copilot is likely be used differently across employee roles. Gathering user feedback helps to refine implementations and ensure enablement efforts are aligned with the real-world needs of your workforce.
• Employee empowerment opportunities: Surveys help empower employees by giving them a voice to share their experiences. This empowerment fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility, which can lead to more active engagement with - and adoption of – Microsoft Copilot.
• Copilot impact: Items in this survey help establish the overall impact of Copilot usage. The core items show established relationships with Copilot use and general work patterns based on Microsoft research.
• Success stories: Collecting feedback from employees on their use of Copilot early and often can uncover success stories, best practices, and tips to share across your organization.

Microsoft Copilot Impact Survey content

Glint recommended items fall into two categories:

1. Core items: These survey items ask employees to reflect on the task- or work-oriented benefits they experience as a result of using Copilot. They help establish the productivity and employee experience return-on-investment (ROI) that Copilot has.

   Note

   These four core items are the standardized Copilot impact outcomes (productivity, speed, effort, quality) and provide the sentiment signals surfaced on the Viva Insights Copilot Dashboard. The Copilot Dashboard (in Viva Insights) is wired to display sentiment for these four standard items. Because these four items are used consistently across customers for reliable reporting and benchmarking they must remain verbatim and are not intended to be edited.

2. Additional items: These survey items ask employees to evaluate the utility of Copilot, their organization's process, and enablement practices. They're designed to support organizations in understanding "how well it's going" with a Copilot roll-out and give more context to where employees may need more support to adopt Copilot most effectively.
