Any report or query that uses Copilot metrics, such as a custom person query or pre-existing report template, produces Copilot-related output data based on the timelines below for analyst users.
Microsoft 365 Copilot metrics (except Copilot for Sales metrics) are available up to two to three days before the current date under normal circumstances. This provides fresher Copilot usage data in advanced analysis. When you customize the time period for your query or report, the most recent allowed To date indicates the latest date for which Copilot data is available.
Timelines for report types under normal circumstances
Day-level queries and reports - The most recent Copilot data is available two to three days prior to the current date.
Week-level (Sunday to Saturday) queries and reports - The most recent Copilot data for the completed week is available two to three days after the week was completed.
Month level queries and reports - The most recent Copilot data for the completed month is available two to three days after the month was completed.
Timeline exception for Copilot for Sales metrics
For the Copilot for Sales metrics, the most recent data is available up to six days before the current date under normal circumstances. If you include these metrics in a custom query or report at the day, week, or month level and you run the report or query earlier than six days after the analysis period, these metrics will be populated with zeroes or incomplete values in the output for any days less than six days from the current date.
Data availability
Copilot metrics are available for up to 13 months of historical data. If you select a start date prior to this history and the report has collaboration and Copilot metrics, the output will include "NULL" values for dates before the history started. If you select a start date prior to this history and the report has only Copilot metrics or only collaboration metrics, there won't be any rows for dates before the history started.
