Role play configuration

Overview of role play

Learning agent offers AI-powered role play experiences that enable users to practice real-world workplace conversations directly within Microsoft 365 Copilot and Viva Learning.

Today, Learning agent supports role play experiences from two providers:

  • AI-powered role play (LinkedIn Learning)
  • CAISY: Conversation AI Simulator (Skillsoft)

These role play experiences allow users to rehearse scenarios such as coaching conversations, stakeholder discussions, feedback delivery, and executive presentations in a safe, simulated environment.

Each provider delivers distinct role play capabilities:

AI-powered role play (LinkedIn Learning)

AI-powered role play (LinkedIn Learning) enables users to practice communication, coaching, and leadership scenarios with an AI coach. The experience provides interactive conversations and personalized feedback based on user responses, helping learners improve real-world workplace skills.

CAISY: Conversation AI Simulator (Skillsoft)

CAISY: Conversation AI Simulator (Skillsoft) provides scenario-based simulations for practicing business and leadership conversations. Learners engage in realistic dialogue simulations and receive immediate feedback to improve skills such as coaching, change management, customer interactions, and decision-making.

Manage SharePoint as a content source

SharePoint enables Learning Agent to surface learning content stored within your organization, such as documents, pages, and curated materials. By connecting SharePoint, you can extend Learning Agent to include internal knowledge and learning resources.

When configured, Learning Agent uses selected SharePoint sources to deliver relevant content to learners while maintaining existing SharePoint permissions and access controls.
