How should I manage customized prices on CASA orders?
You can use the VLC flag for price review to request the ROC to apply customized prices. The more information you give in the request, the better. Examples of wording to provide in the flag for ROC review include:
- Apply 5 percent discount over price list according to Opp-id 6-xxxx1234.
- According to Opp-id 6-xxxx1234, this SKU received the price USD12.40.
I have my order, but some SKUs have a red triangle, and the price isn’t displayed by VLC. What should I do?
This is expected. The red triangle is there to inform the ROC that the correct price should be applied before processing. No partner action is needed.
What’s the purpose of the new anniversary button in VLC?
This informs the ROC that you’re submitting an anniversary order so that they can process it accordingly.
Why is the STU option not showing for any SKU?
To have this option available, the student option needs to have been selected when the agreement was submitted for processing.
A government customer has a special amendment to be invoiced before the enrollment start date. Today, it’s needed for manual orders. Will VLC allow this?
TVLC will manage future status enrollments. You need to include all relevant information using the VLC flag, Usage Date Opp-id 6-xxxx1234, and set up the usage date on the first day of coverage to enable VLC offerings.
Is it necessary to use the prorated form to prorate on-premises SKUs until six months on EES or School programs?
In VLC, you can use VLC flag pricing. For the prorated request to be valid, the partner will always need to provide the months to prorate and the prorated unit price expected to be valid at the SKU-unit level. For example,'Prorate six months using unit prorated price of USD12.' For simplicity, just submit SKUs to prorate in one separate PO.
- The usage period must be aligned with the months to prorate. (For example, set March 1, 2021, as the usage date to prorate ten months if the next anniversary is January 1, 2022.)
- Formulas to calculate unit prorate price (to the nearest two decimal places): Units prorate price = (Annual price divided by 12 months) × number of remaining months of first, second, or third year of license agreement term
Will Operations review CASA orders if the enrollment has some special prices or customizations?
All academic orders are manually reviewed, but we strongly recommend using the VLC flag to provide visibility when a customization needs to be applied.
ISV, SPLA, and HVMA
Is it mandatory to use the last day of the month to report ISV, SPLA, and HVMS?
It’s only mandatory for ISV, but we recommend that the SPLA and HVMS programs use the same approach of setting up the usage date on last day of the month to report.
I’ve composed my order, but some SKUs have a red triangle, and the price isn’t displayed by VLC Orders. What should I do?

Select Plus
In Select Plus, I’ve received an invoice for the second year with an amount that’s more than for the first one. Would that be the correct amount?
According to the Select Plus prorate SA billing option, you should choose the months remaining (25 or 36). Assuming you have 30 full months remaining to the next anniversary
- In AE prorate, it’s 6 months + 12 months + 12 months (The first invoice is less than the last two anniversary invoices).
- In OE prorate, it’s 12 months + 12 months + 6 months (The last invoice is less than the two previous anniversary invoices).
My order was rejected due to lack of points, but in VLC Reporting & Analytics, the pools appear active. Why is that the case?
In Select Plus, pools are always active. Check annual compliance by going to the VLC Reporting & Analytics page. Select Plus Reports, and then Agreement Performance. Check the actual Offering Start Date, then select the Pool On Hold column. Pool On Hold = Yes means your order didn’t reach 500 points annually in the last review.
