Data governance with Microsoft Purview

Windows 365 for Agents integrates with Microsoft Purview to extend enterprise data governance to agent-driven activities. Because agent Cloud PCs are managed through Agent 365, telemetry from agent interactions is seamlessly connected to Microsoft Purview, which ensures that sensitive data is governed consistently, whether accessed by users or agents. Capabilities include endpoint data loss prevention (DLP) applied to agent workloads, data security posture management (DSPM) for AI, and Activity Explorer for visibility into data usage across your agent environment.

Microsoft Purview treats agent users similarly to human users in your tenant. When you create an agent instance for Agent 365, it's automatically enabled for audit, detection of sensitive data with data classification, and included with assessments for AI regulations from Compliance Manager. Beyond these defaults, you can extend the full breadth of Microsoft Purview capabilities to agents, including sensitivity labels, DLP policies, Insider Risk Management, communication compliance, eDiscovery, and data lifecycle management, by including agent instances in policies the same way you would a user. All interaction types are captured: agent-to-human, human-to-agent, agent-to-tools, and agent-to-agent.
