Windows users expect that accessories use the latest active versions of the Bluetooth specifications. Accessories that use the latest active specifications may have newer features and interoperate better with Windows.
For the best interoperability and user experience with Windows Host, Bluetooth Accessories shall support an active version of the Bluetooth Core Specification and shall support active versions of the Bluetooth profiles that the accessories claim to support. Accessories should support the most recently adopted specifications.
