This section contains guidelines aimed at the manufacturers of external accessories intended to be used with Windows PCs. These guidelines help manufacturers design accessories that perform well on Windows and take advantage of all the functionality that the OS offers.
The target audience for this content is Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Device Manufacturers (ODMs) who develop accessories for Windows, and/or the silicon used inside of accessories for Windows.
