Expire a driver from Windows Update

To expire a driver from Windows Update, follow the steps below.

  1. Search for the hardware submission that contains driver you want to expire.

  2. Go to the Distribution section and select the shipping label to modify.

  3. Locate the Targeting section.

  4. Under Select PNPs, choose the hardware IDs to expire.

    To expire specific hardware IDs, select Expire for each specific hardware ID.

    To expire the entire shipping label, click Expire All.

  5. To finalize your changes you must click Publish at the very bottom of the page.
