Running the test

Before you run the test, complete the test setup as described in the test requirements: Wireless LAN (802.11) Testing Prerequisites.

This test performs the following actions:

  • Configure two routers, that are named Router 0 and Router 1, as follows:
    • Router 0 - 2.4Ghz : WPAPSK/TKIP/B/Channel 5
    • Router 0 - 5Ghz : WPAENTERPRISE/AES/A/Channel 36
    • Router 1 - 2.4Ghz : OPEN/NONE/G/Channel 11 - Non Broadcast (Hidden) SSID
    • Router 1 - 5Ghz : WPA2PSK/AES/N/Channel 44
  • Turn OFF all radios in adapter
  • Turn ON all radio in adapter
  • Initiate a Scan with Broadcast/NULL SSID (Flush BSS list from adapter before scan).
  • Wait upto 10 seconds for scan to finish
  • For any routers configured for Hidden SSID, Initiate a Scan for that SSID
  • Wait upto 10 seconds for scan to finish
  • Validate all configured routers are available in the scan list. For each router, match SSID, BSSID, Auth, Ciper and Channel.
