Modern Standby Basic Requirement Test implements two test cases: - one test case exercises the DC-power source - the other test case exercises the AC-power source. The test uses a software-simulated battery to change power sources. The test causes the system to enter and exit Modern Standby by pressing a software power button. For each test iteration, system measurements are taken to evaluate the Modern Standby Platform Level characteristics such as: - presence of S0 Low Power Idle Transitions (defined per ACPI specification v5.0 or newer); - high percentage of time spent in Software and Hardware DRIPs (Deepest Runtime Idle Power State); - lower Divergence Delta between the Software DRIPs and the Hardware DRIPs; - reasonable Modern Standby Exit Latency.
