NVMe SSD Testing Overview
Before you test your NVMe SSD by using the Windows Hardware Lab Kit (Windows HLK), you must review the following topics list:
- A NVMe device should be tested as both a storage controller and a storage disk (hard drive). It should pass all the tests which HLK Studio shows after you apply an official playlist. Before you run the tests, complete the test setup as described in the test requirements: Hard Disk Drive Testing Prerequisites.
- However, Windows Hardware Certification Report shows either Hard Drive or Storage Controller only for the submission. You can submit the same product/version package for Storage Controller after you submit it for Hard Drive.
- In the submissions for Windows Server, you can submit the package including both Hard Drive and Storage Controller to show the certified product in both Disk Drives and Storage Controllers and Adapters in Windows Server Catalog.
