Power Management Control Codes
The following control codes are used with batteries.
| Control Code | Description |
|---|---|
| IOCTL_BATTERY_QUERY_INFORMATION | Retrieves a variety of information for the battery |
| IOCTL_BATTERY_QUERY_STATUS | Retrieves the current status for the battery. |
| IOCTL_BATTERY_QUERY_TAG | Retrieves the battery's current tag. |
| IOCTL_BATTERY_SET_INFORMATION | Sets various battery information. |
The following control codes are part of the backlight control interface.
| Control Code | Description |
|---|---|
| IOCTL_VIDEO_QUERY_DISPLAY_BRIGHTNESS | Retrieves the current AC and DC backlight levels and the current power state. |
| IOCTL_VIDEO_QUERY_SUPPORTED_BRIGHTNESS | Retrieves the supported backlight levels. |
| IOCTL_VIDEO_SET_DISPLAY_BRIGHTNESS | Sets the current AC and DC backlight levels |
