IKnownFolder::GetFolderType method (shobjidl_core.h)

Retrieves the folder type.

Syntax

HRESULT GetFolderType(
  [out] FOLDERTYPEID *pftid
);

Parameters

[out] pftid

Type: FOLDERTYPEID*

When this returns, contains a pointer to a FOLDERTYPEID (a GUID) that identifies the known folder type.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
