[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. Microsoft suggests that existing code that uses the legacy APIs be rewritten to use the new APIs if possible.]

The put_Mode method sets a multifunction tuner to the specified mode.

Syntax

HRESULT put_Mode(
  [in] AMTunerModeType lMode
);

Parameters

[in] lMode

Flag indicating which mode to switch to. Possible values are defined in the AMTunerModeType enumeration.

You can also set the mode to digital TV if the card supports it. To do this, define AMTUNER_MODE_DTV with a value of 0x0010.

Return value

Returns an HRESULT value.
