Parameter Attributes
For Windows 7, Windows Portable Devices supports the following parameter attributes for methods and events of a device service. These attributes are returned by these methods:
- IPortableDeviceServiceCapabilities::GetMethodParameterAttributes
- IPortableDeviceServiceCapabilities::GetEventParameterAttributes

WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_DEFAULT_VALUE | VT_XXXX | The default value of the parameter. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_ENUMERATION_ELEMENTS | VT_UNKNOWN | An IPortableDevicePropVariantCollection interface that contains the enumeration values for the parameter. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_FORM | VT_UI4 | The form of valid parameter values allowed. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_MAX_SIZE | VT_UI8 | The maximum size of the parameter, in bytes . |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_NAME | VT_LPWSTR | A string that specifies the script-friendly name of an event or method parameter. Valid characters are alphanumeric [a-zA-Z0-9] and '_'. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_ORDER | VT_UI4 | The zero-based parameter-order index, so that an order value of 0 corresponds to the first parameter. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_RANGE_MIN | VT_XXXX | The maximum value for a parameter of the form WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_FORM_RANGE. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_RANGE_MAX | VT_XXXX | The minimum value for a parameter of the form WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_FORM_RANGE. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_RANGE_STEP | VT_XXXX | The step value for a parameter of the form WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_FORM_RANGE. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_REGULAR_EXPRESSION | VT_LPWSTR | A regular expression that specifies acceptable values for parameters of the form WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_FORM_REGULAR_EXPRESSION. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_USAGE_TYPE | VT_UI4 | An integer that specifies the usage of a method parameter, for example, in/out. Valid values are of the WPD_PARAMETER_USAGE_TYPES enumeration type. |
WPD_PARAMETER_ATTRIBUTE_VARTYPE | VT_UI4 | The parameter VarType. |
