Parameters
notifications [in]
Optional progress/status notifications during the connection process. May be null.
Returns
S_OK if the connection was established successfully. For local connections, this is a no-op and returns S_OK. For remote connections, this must be called before using any other functionality.
Remarks
On success, the document transitions to connected state.
