IPixGpuCaptureAnalysis::StartAnalysis method

Start analysis on the connected device with the specified parameters. Must be called after Connect. Use GetAdapters to choose an adapter before calling this method. Analysis always starts at the adapter's default power state; use GetPowerStates (valid only while analysis is running) and SetPowerState to change it.

Syntax

    PIX_ANALYSIS_PARAMS * analysisParameters,
    IPixGpuCaptureAnalysisNotifications * notifications,
    IPixCancellationToken * cancellationToken);

Parameters

analysisParameters [in]

Parameters used in starting analysis. Set to null to use default parameters.

notifications [in]

Optional analysis notifications.

cancellationToken [in]

Optional token used to cancel the request.

Returns

S_OK on success, otherwise an error code.

Remarks

Analysis is started; analysis methods (GatherAccessedResources, CollectTiming, GetPowerStates, etc.) become available.
