Remarks
Warning
This is a PIX API representation, not a D3D12-compatible description. Do not pass it directly to D3D12 or D3DX12 helpers that expect D3D interface pointers. First replace each PIX-specific subobject with its D3D12 equivalent and supply D3D12 objects created for the target device.
Graphics, compute, and pipeline state stream descriptions are returned as normalized streams containing explicit subobjects for the effective captured state. D3D12_PIPELINE_STATE_SUBOBJECT_TYPE_ROOT_SIGNATURE uses PIX_PIPELINE_STATE_STREAM_ROOT_SIGNATURE. All other returned subobjects use their D3D12 representations. The returned description and all referenced data remain valid for the lifetime of this interface. PIX interface pointers contained in the subobject descs remain valid while this interface is alive. No reference is transferred to the caller. Call AddRef before releasing this interface if a referenced object must remain valid afterward.
