This method has no parameters.
Returns
The total sample-equivalent cost for this instruction.
Remarks
SampleCount is an abstract, relative cost unit. Sampling providers may report sample hits while exhaustive providers may map measured clocks onto the same unit. Compare values to one another (for example, as a fraction of the sum of all instruction sample counts) rather than treating them as absolute counts. This is an aggregate cost summed over every execution of the instruction (across all waves), not the cost of a single execution.
Invariant: this value is >= the sum of this instruction's stall SampleCounts. The remainder (total minus stalls) is the cost while the instruction was actively issuing and executing.
