eAVDSPLoudnessEqualization enumeration (codecapi.h)
[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. Microsoft suggests that existing code that uses the legacy APIs be rewritten to use the new APIs if possible.]
Specifies whether loudness equalization is enabled in an audio decoder or digital signal processor (DSP). This enumeration is used with the AVDSPLoudnessEqualization property.
Syntax
typedef enum eAVDSPLoudnessEqualization {
eAVDSPLoudnessEqualization_OFF = 0,
eAVDSPLoudnessEqualization_ON = 1,
eAVDSPLoudnessEqualization_AUTO = 2
} ;
Constants
eAVDSPLoudnessEqualization_OFF Value: 0 Loudness equalization is disabled. |
eAVDSPLoudnessEqualization_ON Value: 1 Loudness equalization is enabled. |
eAVDSPLoudnessEqualization_AUTO Value: 2 The decoder or DSP automatically selects the equalization mode. |
Remarks
Loudness equalization is a DSP process that maintains a consistent volume level when the audio stream changes.
