IMediaEvent::RestoreDefaultHandling method (control.h)
[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. Microsoft suggests that existing code that uses the legacy APIs be rewritten to use the new APIs if possible.]
The RestoreDefaultHandling
method restores the Filter Graph Manager's default handling for a specified event.
Syntax
HRESULT RestoreDefaultHandling(
[in] long lEvCode
);
Parameters
[in] lEvCode
Event code for which to restore default handling.
Return value
Returns an HRESULT value. Possible values include the following.
Return code | Description |
---|---|
|
Success. |
|
No default handling for this event. |
Remarks
By default, the Filter Graph Manager handles some events (such as EC_REPAINT) without passing them to the application. If you call the IMediaEvent::CancelDefaultHandling method to override the default handling for an event, you can restore the default behavior by calling RestoreDefaultHandling
with the same event code.
