UIntPtrToULong function (intsafe.h)

Converts a value of type UINT_PTR to a value of type ULONG.

Syntax

HRESULT UIntPtrToULong(
  [in]  UINT_PTR uOperand,
  [out] ULONG    *pulResult
);

Parameters

[in] uOperand

Type: UINT_PTR

The value to be converted.

[out] pulResult

Type: ULONG*

A pointer to the converted value. In the case where the conversion causes a truncation of the original value, the function returns INTSAFE_E_ARITHMETIC_OVERFLOW and this parameter is not valid.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this function succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
