Loads an absolute ITEMIDLIST from an IStream.

Syntax

SHSTDAPI ILLoadFromStreamEx(
  [in]  IStream          *pstm,
  [out] PIDLIST_RELATIVE *pidl
);

Parameters

[in] pstm

Type: IStream*

A pointer to the IStream interface from which the absolute ITEMIDLIST loads.

[out] pidl

Type: PIDLIST_ABSOLUTE*

When this method returns and succeeds, contains the resulting absolute ITEMIDLIST. If it fails, contains NULL.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this function succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Remarks

For use where STRICT_TYPED_ITEMIDS is defined.
