Called by a provider to notify the Microsoft UI Automation core that the position within a text control has programmatically changed.

Syntax

HRESULT UiaRaiseActiveTextPositionChangedEvent(
  [in]           IRawElementProviderSimple *provider,
  [in, optional] ITextRangeProvider        *textRange
);

Parameters

[in] provider

Type: IRawElementProviderSimple*

The provider node where the position change within the text occurred.

[in, optional] textRange

Type: ITextRangeProvider*

The text range change that occurred, if applicable.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this function succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
