Curated programs available to XBOX creators

XBOX operates a selection of curated programs that you might be able to participate in with your products. For more information, review the guidance in this topic and speak to your XBOX contacts.

Discounting and sales

XBOX manages different discount programs and sales that you might be able to participate in. These programs include Tentpole Sales, Thematic Collection Sales, Weekly Sales, Publisher Sales, and Regional Sales. You might also be able to participate in targeted offers (for example, discounting one product based on ownership of another) or flexible offers (for example, discounting a bundle of products when purchased together).

Only XBOX can configure discounts on your products. Speak to your XBOX contacts if you’re interested in participating in any of these scenarios.

Free Play Days

Free Play Days allow potential players to try out your game for free and see if they like it. They’re a great opportunity for you to showcase your game, attract new players and grow your community. If you’re interested in participating in Free Play Days, speak to your XBOX contacts.

Game Pass

Game Pass provides players with a curated catalog of games to play for a monthly subscription fee. For more information, see XBOX Game Pass | XBOX.

If you're registered with the ID@XBOX program and want to submit your game for Game Pass consideration, go to the XBOX Onboarding Hub and navigate to Pitch your game for deal consideration. If you're not registered with ID@XBOX, speak to your XBOX contacts to have your game considered for Game Pass.

Gaming Sustainability

At XBOX, our commitment to our players and the industry is to reduce the impact that gaming has on the environment.   1. Power Monitor for PIX to show real time power consumption on devkits.
  2. Case studies from titles that release energy saving features.
  3. The Energy Efficiency Essentials, a first release of suggestions written by studios, for studios. Current collaborators found that they were able to deliver features in only a matter of days and with only 1-2 engineers.
  4. Free sustainability reports showing individual in-game power consumption, and compared to industry averages for each in-game area.
  5. Dashboards showing us the global average power consumption of any title on the platform (providing it has sufficient gaming activity).

XBOX Insider Program

The XBOX Insider Program is a powerful service that allows you to flight your game or app in the RETAIL sandbox. The program can be utilized for development, testing, or marketing purposes.

With the XBOX Insider Program you can:

  • Quickly and securely deploy your game/app or content update on XBOX consoles or XBOX on PC at any phase of development (including post release).
  • Target the audience you want, from a few studio personnel to millions of external users, and easily expand over time.
  • Allow participants to quickly join, download, and play from anywhere in the world.
  • Flight to 50,000 or fewer external users with just a minimal Certification review.
  • Get actionable feedback with built-in tools.
