Word - Can the TOC generate 3 digit page numbers?

Question

Our documents have Parts and Sections. Each page is numbered with the Part and the Section (example: Part 1, Section 1, page 1 which is 1-1-1.

Only the last number is auto generated on the page number and the 2 prefix numbers are manually inserted. The TOC only generates that one auto number from the page number. I manually have to add the 2 prefix numbers to the page numbering on the TOC (see red text in example). TOC example.JPG

Is it possible to get the 3 numbers to show/auto-generate as the page number on the TOC?

The TOC is a field and only picks up the formatted page number as set in the Format Page Numbers dialog. It does not pick up anything else added on the page.

You can use Chapter numbering in the dialog.
