Miracast used to work and now PC says it isn't supported

Miracast used to work on my PC but now it does not - PC says Miracast is not supported.

I have tried all troubleshooting steps out there to fix this issue including (with the assistance of Dell Support):

• wlan card, motherboard replaced
• device reimaged - issue presented in both Windows 10 and now 11
• updated drivers

An identical, known-good laptop functions as expected.

Dell believes this is a Windows issue - What steps or settings have I missed to resolve this issue?

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Miracast.

The Miracast not supported by graphics driver issue occurs on a Windows 10 or 11 installation. This can be due to your PC using a generic or outdated graphics driver.

Please check if your PC meets the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) requirement to support Miracast.

Go to DxDiag.exe -> Then click Save All Information -> Open the saved file, and then find Miracast in fine to check to see if it indicates support.

Disable any Antivirus program or Windows firewall you may have for temporary purpose. then Please update your Dell PC BIOS firmware and other Drivers.
