msiam_access role

I could not find enough information about the msiam_access role, but I would like to know - does it necessarily indicates a SAML integration app or does it exist also in any app defines custom appRoles?

Also, I am confused because by documentations I found in the internet (not Microsoft ones) - one stated that it should not be removed and the other advised to rename it. Is it true? can I rename it without breaking stuff?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @JohnErvin-4462 , the msiam_access role does not necessarily indicate a SAML integration app. It can exist in any app that defines custom appRoles. As for renaming it, I would warn against it. I can't find any internal docs saying the same, but I feel it's not worth the risk of breaking something down the line.
