Remove UPDs from removed session host on RDS 2016

Hi,
I have recently removed a session host from a 2016 RDS deployment, as we are slowly retiring it. After successfully removing the session host, (it no longer shows in the RDS collection) I noticed that it is still using the User Profile Disks when logging in. How do I get the ex-session host (now member server of domain) to use local profiles again?

Are you indicating that the User Profile Disks are still stored on the removed session host? And is the current objective to have RDS clients utilize local profiles on the server rather than relying on UPDs?

I want to just completely disable UDPs, I want the server to act like a regular non-RDS server, and not create UDPs. However, someone has already removed RDS role from this 2016 server and it is still creating vhxd files.
