I am encountering the same issue as described in the ticket linked below. I have the following questions:

  1. Which versions of SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) are supported when using VS 2022 & VS2019?
  2. Is there any solution available to use the VSIX extension with SSMS 17.x, 18.x, or 19.x? Or is it still not possible?

    Hi @Deepak Rane (drane)

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Did you see the similar issue

I tested it using VS2022, VS2019 with SSMS v18.12.1. And I could reproduce the issue.

I also tested it using the VS2017, it works normally. Maybe you can try the VS2017.

    Sincerely,

    Anna
