Did you see the similar issue?
I tested it using VS2022, VS2019 with SSMS v18.12.1. And I could reproduce the issue.
I also tested it using the VS2017, it works normally. Maybe you can try the VS2017.

Yeah I went through the issue previously but VS 2017 is not preferred.
Unfortunately we have upgraded to VS 2022 from VS 2019 to build our projects.
So the only choice for us now is to use these versions.
Is there any other way that we can do to achieve it in VS 2022 ?
Also if could you please confirm about SSMS v19.x and 17.x also works with VS 2017?
Hello, I tested it using VS2017 and SSMS v19.3. It also works.
I now think that maybe SSMS only works on VS2017, but if you want to confirm it or want to know if it works in VS2022/VS2019, you may need to report to the product team in Developer Community or SQL Server forum.

And about reporting on developer community for VS 2022 , if you could see my original query above , I have already posted a link, which was already asked by some one in the year 2022 and that's reported as no support.
