Will Synchronous translation support markdown and other file formats asynchronous does?

Hi team!

Looking through the documentation on the asynchronous translation API, it supports the markdown format, and a few other, that preserve their structure through translation. My question is, will the same formats, of which I am most curious about markdown, be supported with the synchronous API, and when is the ETA on this feature?
