callsUpdate event not firing

Hi all,
I was wondering how the callsUpdated event for the TeamsCallAgent worked in azure-communication-common.

I tried subscribing for the event on the teamsCallAgent, in the same way that you can for the incomingCall event, but it never triggers. Not on ring, not on accept nor decline.

What is the usecase for this event? The documentation mentions it is fired when 'this collection will change', I was guessing that that meant the collection of calls for the user related to the teamsCallAgent, but it seems not the case.

Could anyone elaborate on this?

To better assist you on this, could you please share more details about your requirement/scenario, and also the exact error message that you receive.

Just to highlight, for sending the push payload for incoming call you do not need to send over the entire EG payload , please check the public sample we have that extracts only the required payload for incoming call /ACSCallingNativeRegistrarLite -ConvertToPNInfo function in that file.

More details on the scenario:
I am working on a javascript react website that logs incoming calls and call duration for users by using the azure-communication-common library. With it I make a CallClient, and with that a TeamsCallAgent for a specific user. I can subscribe to its 'incomingcall' event, which triggers as expected, with that I can log incoming calls. I'm trying to log call duration by keeping track of when calls start and stop. The 'callsUpdated' event description seems to be the perfect fit for this task, but I can't get it to trigger at all. I've tried calling the subscribed user and letting it ring, accepting this call and ringing & declining the call, but none of them triggered the event.

Because the event doesn't trigger, the problem isn't an error message, but rather the lack of any response in general. As such, I cannot show you any error message to review.

Furthermore, I see that the ConvertToPNInfo method you linked is meant for an eventgrid approach to receiving events. I use the above-mentioned library instead of this, meaning I can't produce a push payload in the way you ask of me.

If there is any more information you require of me, I'd be glad to provide it.
