How to extract the value when the option is circled indicating that it is selected?

I am new in using Azure document intelligence studio and I am using General document model to extract key value pairs and paragraphs content. I have one requirement where if the field is circled, I should get this value as selected. Is there any way I can achieve this through this model, if not this which model can be used to achieve this?

Thank you for using the Microsoft Q&A forum.

As per the documentation, checkbox or selection mark is supported since long back.

Checkbox/Selection Mark detection feature of Document Intelligence supports detection and extraction of selection marks such as check boxes and radio buttons. Selection Marks are extracted in Layout and you can now also label and train in Train Custom Model - Train with Labels to extract key-value pairs for selection marks.

You can also try by labelling and training Document Intelligence custom neural model, if it meets your requirements on high quality documents.

But are these supported via General Document-preBuilt model. Also, in this situation this isn't a normal checkbox which generally will be ticked and model will read it as selected/unselected. This checkbox kind input is circled by the user as mentioned in the image and we want to know whether this type of input would be recognised by the model or not? If not by General Document model, then do we need to use another model or what's the behavior for such inputs?

Yes, you can extract the value when the option is circled indicating that it is selected using the Document Intelligence feature of Azure. The Checkbox/Selection Mark detection feature of Document Intelligence supports detection and extraction of selection marks such as check boxes and radio buttons. Selection Marks are extracted in Layout, and you can now also label and train in Train Custom Model - Train with Labels to extract key-value pairs for selection marks.
