Hi,

i'm testing FSLogix to replace our roaming profiles. My users are AD users from another domain, and they have their home folder connected as H:\ to a network share in the AD user object. I cannot change that at the AD user level.

When such a user logs into a win10 client in my FSLogix test OU, he get's his FSLogix profile. Fine. Anyway, his home folder from the AD object is also mounted at H:\ as a network drive, something i don't want.

Can i prevent my win10 client to mount that network drive?

    Hello FB4 IMI,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

You can try to prevent the network drive from being mounted by using Group Policy. You can create a Group Policy Object (GPO) and configure the "Remove Map Network Drive and Disconnect Network Drive" policy setting under "User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\File Explorer".

You can then apply this GPO to the OU where your FSLogix test users are located.

After you configure the GPO, sign out and sign in the user account in OU, or run gpupdate /force for the signed user in the OU. At last check the result.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou

Thanks @Daisy Zhou but this settings disables users from mounting and dismounting network drives by using windows explorer, which is not what i want.

I want to suppress the automatic mounting of the users home folder from the AD user object properties.
