Make profiles for community - workflow

Hi all, We are opening a new space on campus for university students to work together on extra-curricular projects. Leading up to the opening we have given workshops and events, to start building a student community.

And now we were wondering: Using all the beautiful tools in the Microsoft Suite, would there be a way that we start building an online community? Ideally;

  • New students that sign up for an event (via?)
  • get a short one time questionnaire to set up a profile (via?)
  • So that if they can join the online community (via?) and get regular mail updates (via?)
  • Super ideal would be of we (and they) can see on their profile which events/courses/coaching sessions they have followed

Could you think along in the possibilities Microsoft offers?

    Microsoft offers tools to build an online community. You can use Microsoft Teams or Viva Engage Communities to create a space for students to collaborate and share ideas. To set up a profile for new students, you can use Microsoft Forms to create a questionnaire. Once the students have completed the questionnaire, you can use the information to create their profiles in the community. You can also use Microsoft Forms to gather feedback from students and improve the community experience. To get regular updates, you can use Microsoft Teams or Viva Engage to send notifications or emails. Additionally, you can use Microsoft Power Platform to create custom solutions to track events, courses, and coaching sessions.
