Connection to a managed SQL instance using Microsoft Entra Integrated Authentication

We need your assistance with connecting to a managed SQL instance using Microsoft Entra Integrated Authentication from VM. We're encountering the following error when attempting to connect.

This is required for migration of our solution to Cloud.

 

Error:

Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. Failed to authenticate the user NT Authority\Anonymous Logon in Active Directory (Authentication=ActiveDirectoryIntegrated).

Error code 0xget_user_name_failed

Failed to get user name.

 

SQL Managed Instance Details:

Instance: tbss-dev-db-mi.public.8e8857a59101.database.windows.net,3342

VM: tbss - VM

Account used to connect: w2o2@erfitngdev.onmicrosoft.com
