Hi,

We have an old DHCP server which we would like to replace for a new one. Since there are helpers configured everywhere we need to use the old IP on the new server as well.

If i have a new authorized DHCP server with another IP then my old server. Then adding the old servers IP as a second IP on the interface, will this make the new DHCP server reachable on both IPs? Since its using DHCID?

Thanks,

LEVD

    Hello,

Since there are helpers configured everywhere

    "helpers" refers to DHCP relay?

If i have a new authorized DHCP server with another IP then my old server.

    What does this mean?

    Since its using DHCID?

What does DHCID stand for? Does it refer to the DHCPID (DHCP Identifier)?
