    Hi @Priyadarshini Shankar,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!

Based on your description, it sounds like you're having issues syncing events between Gmail/Webmail and Outlook, especially when creating or updating events from Outlook. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem:

    1. Make sure your Gmail/Webmail account is properly set up in Outlook and that the sync settings are configured correctly.
    2. Make sure you're using the latest version of Outlook. Sometimes, updating can fix sync issues.
    3. Account Settings:
    • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings... in Outlook.
    • Double-check that your Gmail/Webmail account settings are correct.
    • Click on your Gmail/Webmail account and click Change. Make sure the settings (both IMAP and SMTP) are correct.
    1. Sometimes, there can be conflicting settings or add-ins causing the problem. Try disabling the add-in and see if syncing improves.
    2. OST/PST file issues:
    • If your local data file (OST or PST) is corrupted, it can cause syncing issues. You can try to repair your Outlook data file:
    • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings...
    • Select your data file and click Open File Location.
    • Close Outlook and run the "SCANPST.EXE" tool on your data file.
    1. Sometimes, removing and re-adding the problematic email account in Outlook can resolve sync issues.
    2. Double-check that your Gmail or webmail account settings are set to allow syncing with Outlook. For Gmail, this may include checking your IMAP settings under "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" in Gmail settings.

Note that sometimes syncing may not be instant. Give it a little time to see if the update will eventually be reflected on the device.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries.

    Best,

    Jake Zhang
