In Word/Excel, I want to be able to see SharePoint as a place under OneDrive. Others have this option, but I'm not sure why I don't. This is what I see. And this is what I am trying to see. I have uninstalled and reinstalled office, which did not fix the issue. "Show additional places for saving, even if sign-in is required" is checked.

This option only shows up if: You are using your work MS account to sign into Office Your organization has granted you access to their Sharepoint resources For the former ensure that, under Account, you are signed in using your work's MS account. Also ensure that under product information it shows as Microsoft 365 Apps for business . If you are using a personal copy of Office then it may not be an option. Additional go to Options \ Save and ensure the option show additional places for saving is enabled. This impacts where you can save but might also impact opening.

This option only shows up if:

I am only signed into my work MS account in Office, OneDrive, & Windows.

Organization has granted me access.

Subscription is Microsoft Apps for business.

The "Show additional places for saving" is checked.

These were all already setup this way. The second screenshot came from another person in the same Org.

Does the microsoft.sharepoint.exe process run when you run your Office app? If not then Sharepoint isn't going to show up.

Under your product information is your acount name. Assuming that lines up with a business MS account then click on the Update License button to refresh.

If you go to your company's SharePoint site in the browser you are able to get in correct?

There could be a disconnect between your 365 account and what was cached. You might try signing out of Office and back in via the app. If that doesn't work and your account is older and newer accounts don't have the issue then it might be a problem with the account in Windows. You can disconnect your account in Windows (via Settings -> Accounts -> Access work or school -> work email -> disconnect) and then connect again. I'd do this while you're on the network physically if possible and you may need infrastructure's help.
