You could import your legacy VB6 project to the twinBASIC programming language. It is VB6 compatible and can import VB6 source code and forms.
MS Visual Basic 6 is out-of-support since a very long time, therefore you won't find any public download.
And VB6 was never for free, you have to purchase a license.
The only way is to purchase a MSDN subscription to gte VB6 incl. license/product key.
